Bad Day

The day started out all shiny and new,
Until I went and lost my shoe
My coffee pot then sprung a leak,
My throat became sore, I could hardly speak
I tripped on a log while taking my run,
I tell you what, that's not very much fun
With cuts and scrapes and owies by the score,
I didn't think I could take much more
My scale said I'd gained ten pounds,
I do feel larger all around
My shower trickled to a drizzle,
Too much water running, the pressure it does fizzle
I forgot my breakfast for being in a rush,
My teeth I also, forgot to brush
The sunshiny skies quickly turned to gray,
You wouldn't think that it was May
So much traffic on my way to work,
That guy in front of me, was a jerk
My cell phone dropped all my calls,
I'm thinking of sitting down to bawl
One things for certain, I know what to do
I'm going back home to find that shoe!!
